No honestly, that's what the Times article said. It's a pity it has gone from their web site. You couldn't make this stuff up.

The only people who do are the farmers who were expecting all their ewes to be fertilised by the ram that turns out to be gay.
I expect they taste just as good with a little mint sauce. (The sheep, not the farmers. Mustard is what you need with those.)
My point in this post is - some journalists saw the research into the cause of this difference in 10% of sheep, and what did they do? They asked a tennis player what she thought about it. I think that is odd.-

This sort of research should not be allowed to continue. This could eventually find it's way to humans. I agree with medicine to cure disease, but not to muck around with nature like this. We as humans seem unable to accept the bodies we have. I think it is the fear of death which drives it all.

Perhaps they just want the ram to have a happy 'ewe' year!

I couldn't read past the bit about injecting things into live sheep brains. Ugh. I'm against animal research.

Asking a tennis player what she thought about gay sheep? that's about as useful as asking Leo Sayer about crop rotation is it not! I read that article thinking it was some form of comedic essay, however now I see it is serious it's even more funny than before!
Obviously it is pathetic and somewhat stupid.-

A couple of years or so ago, I think there was something in New Scientist about the tragedy of lesbian sheep. Apparently when a normal female sheep wants to be tupped, it stands still. Along comes a normal ram, and Bob is some relation or other that needs a diagram these days.
Alas. Picture if you will, two lesbian sheep standing still at each other... tragic.-

the older of the sheep would probably say "what a waste" or something along those lines

I don't see why sheep should have HUMAN rights? They suffer so much abuse from sheep-shaggers that it doesn't come as a surprise that they go astray

I dont see anything wrong with gay sheep.
