Bush decides to provoke Iran into a war.

American troops have attacked an Iranian Consulate building in Iraq, kidnapped several of the staff and stolen some computers. So that's three clear breaches of internationally accepted laws, then.

They will claim, and it may be true, that they have captured terrorists. They will say that the computers contain information about terrorism, and that may be true. They will also claim to be above the law, and that is not true.

Presumably, George W Bush wants to infuriate the Iranian government so that they will carry out some sort of attack, which he will use to justify his plan to send 20,000 more troops to Iraq. And they will be forced to defend themselves by invading Iran. Oh what a cunning plan George, soon you will own all the oil.

But it's all a bit, well, obvious, isn't it?

if it turns out that Iran does have nuclear weapons....

These idiots terrify me - they are the bullies of the world - but all bullies meet their match - and what goes around comes around, and thats what worries me!!

I will be interested to see if Blair has learned any lessons at all from his days of having Bush's hand up his arse. I wonder what his response will be.

I did note that in recent interview regarding Bush's plans for sending 20,000 more troops to iraq he did not specifically say we would not join in.

In a typically deceitful and political way he left his options open - that means we will follow I suspect!

  I suspect Blair has realised his personal popularity would drop below zero if he committed to this one, so he will say nothing. Makes a change from lies, I suppose.

I wish my International Political Theory exam was today, not yesterday. I could have added this to my endless ranting against Fukuyama's notion of democratic states being "fundamentally unwarlike".

  Ah, but wouldn't you have to show that America was a democracy for that to be valid? Many believe it is run by the "military/industrial complex" and/or the wealthy. Certainly, if one crazy president can start a war without a vote on it, that's not a democracy in my opinion.

    This is true... I don't believe there are currently any true democracies. Switzerland is close.
    
    I am so politicsed out atm. Too much learning has mashed my brain to a pulp, and all I want to read are dirty stories about Alessandro Nesta and Paolo Maldini in a lift. One exam to go, then it's OVER...

    But they believe they are right and really no one does. Ok yes us the general public do, but when he gets othe world leaders bhind him (Blair for example) then we are done for! That is why he gets away with it

Like inside job 9/11 (see YouTube) the madman Bush is looking for an excuse - and provoking an excuse - to get Israel to nuke the Iranian nuclear facilities before they get too far ahead to be stopped from getting a nuke warhead or five.

The Zionist Nazis will never ever allow that.

Bush is an insane lunatic and probably back on the drink again, to send 20,000 more troops when all his advisers advise caution, restraint and phased pullout of troops from Iraq.
