What sort of American accent do I have?

by The_Walrus @ 03 May. 2008 - 23:42:47

Apparently,

Northeastern

This could either mean an r-less NYC or Providence accent or one from Jersey which doesn't sound the same. Just because you got this result doesn`t mean you don't pronounce Rs.(People in Jersey don't call their state "Joisey" in real life)

The map...

Actually, I sound like a flat West Midlands version of BBC Received Pronunciation. Also, it is illegal for me to sing in public.

And if you think it was easy to get this to display, you are mistaken. I had to edit an enormous amount of crud out of the code before it would parse properly. Don't even think about trying to display your results if you don't speak HTML...

Gosh, I managed to drag the post out of the black hole that is the editor, though you can't tell that it is related to I_Am_Xenon's post from utterly ages ago. Do you think it is worth struggling on here, or not?
