You may have noticed I keep using Autostitch to join up photographs into big wide views. That's because I like wide angle shots, and would buy a fish-eye lens if I could afford it. Here's a nice device for automating the process...

This is a similar thing I made from Lego a couple of years ago. It was controlled by the computer it was stuck to with Lego magnet bricks, but was rather less precise than the fancy model above. It used Lego's image processing software to track moving objects round the room, taking pictures every time there was any movement.

Wow, that picture is ASTONISHING. I'd love to be able to do that, and I see the cost isn't even that high at £250 (projected). Hmm...
