I see what appears to be a rather ancient episode of one of Harry Enfield's show is being used by the usual fundamentalists to whip up hatred of Britain.
It's not a very good sketch, he has done much better. But to accuse him of racism and sexism, when there is no discrimination against the actress on racial grounds (she got the job of playing a Philipino, after all) and no discrimination on the basis of her sex (she got to play a woman even though she was one) is just stupid. This campaign has all the hallmarks of the stupid attacks on the Danish cartoonists - it is an attack on some humour that wasn't all that good, but harmless except to the unfortunate Northerner, and it has appeared ages after the thing was made, because it took a while for the person (I use the word loosely) to get back to Philipines and even longer to get anyone to care.
I don't have any Philipino servants myself, but I do have some experience of the Philipino morality, as I went to Manila a while ago.
About ten feet outside the dock gate I was robbed by a Philipino child.
So, all you whinging diplomats and feminists, where is their apology to me? Eh? Scum of the earth. Some of them. The rest have no sense of humour and can shove off.
