Citizen Smith is still determined to collect information about every electronic communication you make or receive. I was reading about it in an article in The Register. What particularly drew my attention was that the Home Office is having the apparently new proposals considered by its Interception Modernisation Programme staff. So, interception is there, as I always assumed, and this is just modernising it. The repulsive spyware creeps at Phorm are about to run out of money, with their share price lower than a fifteenth of its best price, so we may not need to campaign agains BT and Phorm for much longer, but we are still going to continue to be spied on. |
Do you remember how the hag Thatcher sneered at the idea that the ideas embodied in George Orwell's "1984" had any significance? That woman could lie to the highest standards. Either that, or she was so stupid she had no idea what was actually going on. Take your pick.

Even seeing the photo of Thatcher cause an outburst of rage...HLOL...I don't like Smith at all, but nothing compared to what I felt and still feel about Thatcher...monstrous, monstrous excuse for a female...

Given the utter murdering evil of Thatchescu (Belgrano? What Belgrano?) I admit it's hard to think Smith is nastier, but I fear it may be so. She has brought all the insight of a particularly unimaginative primary school marm to the post she is so unsuited for, and is utterly unconcerned that what she has been told to do by Blair and now Brown amounts to what I think of as "The Full 1984".

I agree, it's a disgraceful infringement on our liberty though how you oppose it I've no idea as, over the last decade, our personal freedoms have reached a seriously impaired level with a succession of new laws that seemed to have been passed without our even being aware of them, giving a huge amount of power to the State and the police...hmmm...

With things in the current system, the best those of us with brains can hope for is the chance to retire to somewhere sunny, but Greece just blew up in our faces, and our passports will be Ģ1000000000000000000000000 to renew thanks to privatisation, and and and.

And no guarantee other countries with lots of sun won't implode if things get seriously bad...and the ex.pats could get it in the teeth if they all appear to be doing well...hmmm...stay home is probably the best policy and fight your corner here...

All I need is enough olive trees and flattish land for subsistence agriculture, satellite internet and a BFG for unfriendly visitors.

Well, I only want the Big Gun if civilization collapses...
I forgot the vines, they are also necessary. And that pointy leafed plant that is so popular, the one our Vietnamese visitors grow in other people's houses, when they get the chance.

Ms Smith is just carrying a long tradition of Home Secretaries who do what they are told when they get into office. If they don't, you can be sure that some unexpected 'event' will somehow be released into the public domain to bite them on their political bum. Sadly, she probably doesn't even know the extent to which she is being played like a violin.

Frankly, would she know which end of a violin to blow?

Don't worry, nothing you can say about the hag Thatchescu is rude, by definition. And as it is true, she can't sue you. Though maybe Davros will...
