Now I have to think of a name for the thing! Pleasant suggestions accepted...

Update: The tribe has chosen to name the boat after its totem bird, the Puffin. So thanks for all your suggestions, and sorry, nobody wins the empty wine bottle. (Comments are closed on this one now.)

  Alas, that would cause confusion, as I like things that are not the same as each other not to have similar names.
  
  I have a netbook called Oyster, and my Linux machine is already called "carpenter". [I suddenly feel acutely conscious of my sheer nerdiness.]
  
  I have been toying with the idea of transliterating a Greek name, like Βαρκα Μας, (our boat) into Varka Mas, to cause confusion.

      There are many good possible names for the boat, but I suspect it's going to end up being a Puffin, as this is my tribe's totem bird.
