...a picture of what I have been doing while all the work is going on outside in our garden. I really don't like carpets, things live in them. This is our dining room, which I have floored with bamboo planking. It's hard wearing and ecologically sound. Beautiful as well...

Pro I'm too lazy. All you need is a workbench and a jigsaw, and some time... If I can do an acceptable job, most people can.
My! You have been busy...quite 'handy' too! Does save us much expense being able to do things ourselves....

Pro The floor looks great! Is bamboo planking expensive and where can you get it? I do like carpets but that's only because hard floors even wooden ones jar my back...no give in the rod holding up the spine so need something soft to walk on... GBHs...XXX

Pro It's about £30 or less per square metre. If you Google for Nicoline bamboo flooring you will find many stockists. Spring heeled slippers sound as if they should be invented...
